Like photography web creation encompasses a visual sensibility and a technical expertise, the one supporting the other and compliments my photography very well.
Developing my skills over several years on a variety of sites and through variations of my own site, which in this incarnation aims to get straight and without fuss to the photographs and information, yet still making the experience pleasurable. Maintaining throughout my designs one of the key principals of web creation - KEEP IT SIMPLE !
With several very successful sites now established, as well as web editing, I'm now offering this service more widely, taking commissions beyond clients expectations. Recent work has covered web editing and a micro site for Scottish Natural Heritage, an Edinburgh based photographer, a tapestry artist, with work in progress for another photographer and an architect.

I principally use a Mac only program called Freeway that is not only a joy to use with its friendly and trouble free interface but allows for amazing creative possibilities. Freeway is a powerful tool that in many ways surpasses other programs and can handle a variety of scripting requirements ie. eCommerce, CSS, etc. This freedom places the overall design first. Less time is also required constructing the actual site thus potentially saving money.
