To place a pen in the hands of a photographer rarely leads to anything memorable. So with that said and my Blog aside:
My photographic interests are of the natural world where found and of the landscapes which man has shaped. In particular that within Scotland and more recently concentrating particularly in Perthshire and the Grampian Hills.
My photography generally sets out to document rather than impose some pictorialist ideal. Recording that which has struck me as interesting, beautiful or shocking and that I would like to show to others. Photographs can and should be made anywhere and at anytime no matter the weather or 'quality' of light. A challenge that I embrace. I also endeavour to encompass the world with eyes and mind wide open.
My 'Personal' work endeavours to explore more fully a world through the medium of photography and push boundries of an 'accepted' norm.
Since becoming a freelance professional in 1995 I now balance both commercial photography with my own Personal projects, alongside web design and development.
A brief cv/resume can be downloaded - 'Here' .
The world is a beautiful and magical place and I hope my work records and expresses just a fraction so others might see.
Most images (except commissioned work) are available as high quality prints. Contact me for prices.
