Occasional Ramblings with a Camera

This blog is my occasional ramblings on here, there and about, with and very occasionally without a camera. Photography, art, landscape (principally Scottish), heritage and wildlife are the things that interest me the most, so thats what I'll be writing about and of course showing pictures of. They say that a photograph is worth a thousand words, well I'm not so sure about that but if it is then great as it will save me a heap of typing, all power to the image.

10 + exhibits

10-11-2015

A very nice mixed exhibition of Perthshire Visual Arts Forum members at Birnam came down yesterday. I exhibited two works that were on the theme loosely of '10'. Framed they are 10x10 inches. Subject wise the tree is a multi layer of 10 months in the life of a tree I photographed throughout 2014. The sky image was shot on the Isle of Rum last October (tenth month) with text by John Berger; The deeper the experience of a moment, the greater the accumulation of experience. I made a set of images of sky during one day while on Rum, not all lovely blue.
Both images printed very nicely with a lovely softness that I liked. The tree is an edition of ten, signed, numbered, unmounted. £40 inc p&p.
