A slow 13min video reflecting on the clearance of people from the glens. Filmed in Glen Taitneach with text based on the writing of Hugh Millar when visiting the Isle of Rum, during the 'The Cruise of the Betsey'. There is no sound to the video (The Silence of Voices).

My family used to holiday when I was around five years old in Kirkmichael, the sound of the river as it resonates under the bridge reminds me of that time. 

In times past the people of the glen when doing business would shake hands across a stream to acknowledge agreement.

A collaborative project that was projected during an exhibition at the Patriothall Gallery, Edinburgh.
